Integrative Health Care
Mental health, emotional or behavioral issues can interfere with your ability to reach your potential. Our top priority is your safety, comfort, and improving your primary & mental health and quality of life.
The origins of medicine are deeply rooted in a civilization’s culture and spiritual beliefs. Often, educated priests practiced medicine. Early medicine dealt with experiences, observations, and reflections of the self and one’s surroundings. There was no separation of mind and body.
Integrative medicine uses an evidence-based approach to treat the whole person — your mind, body and soul. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are all involved, using a combination of therapies. It “integrates” conventional approaches and complementary therapies to achieve optimal health and healing.
This optimal health and healing or “whole person health” improves and restores health in multiple interconnected domains —biological, behavioral, social, environmental — rather than just treating a disease or ailment. At Morgan Integrative Health our approach to health care is an individualized, client-centered model of promoting optimal health and wellness, combining a whole person approach with evidence-based strategies to reduce disease risk by turning around lifestyle behaviors.
Our approach emphasizes multimodal interventions, which are two or more interventions such as conventional health care approaches (like medication, physical rehabilitation, psychotherapy), and complementary health approaches (like energy work, Reiki, and probiotics) in various combinations, with an emphasis on treating the whole person rather than, for example, one organ system. Integrative health aims for well-coordinated care among different providers by bringing conventional and complementary approaches together to care for the whole person.
