Elizabeth is married and has 4 grown sons, she loves outdoors, such as hiking, kayaking, skiing (although she is very new to this). Giraffes make her smile and has a small collection of them. Elizabeth loves her job as a family nurse practitioner. She is excited to be joining the team and is looking forward to exploring the Treasure Valley. In her spare time she enjoys reading, and spending time with family and friends. Elizabeth likes to swim, and just be generally active. She has 2 dogs and enjoys walking with them. She has been a family nurse practitioner for 6 years and has a lot of different experiences. She enjoys helping patients help themselves be their best self and live their best life.

A mental health crisis is a difficult life situation where a person’s coping strategies do not work. People in crisis feel helpless and distressed, they feel like they are loosing control over their life.

In primary care settings, family nurse practitioners (FNPs) are often the first to see patients with mental illnesses. FNPs can diagnose and treat patients with uncomplicated mental illness, such as depression and anxiety. Elizabeth collaborates with our mental health providers to provide the widest scope of care possible. Elizabeth’s strong sense of empathy helps her to better understand patients and provide specialized individual care.
