In-Network Provider for
Howdy, my name is Andrew.
I’m a licensed social worker with a focus in individual and family psychotherapy. My role in therapy is to be a compassionate and nonjudgmental second set of eyes to help examine your relationships with yourself and with others. My training as a social worker and my own life experience make me conscious of the structural inequalities that shape each of our outer and inner worlds – we all have shared and unique challenges to navigate, and at times they can overwhelm our ability to show up as our best selves.
In therapy, my goal is to help you be true to yourself, no matter what situations life throws at you. This means I take your identities and cultural belonging seriously, so that I can understand how your experiences affect you specifically, as well as understand how to support you in becoming stronger and healthier in yourself. How can I help you have a more authentic and present experience of your life?
I believe mental health – mental wellness – is a full body experience. Many people seek therapy to address something or things happening in their body as well as in their mind. I want your therapy to address your mental health needs at every level, but it starts where the rubber meets the road, and I’m passionate about sharing the latest evidence-based strategies that help you better follow your funky flow.
Reach out whenever you’re ready. It would be an honor to understand your world through your eyes.
“The glory of creation is in its infinite diversity – and the ways our differences combine to create meaning and beauty.”
~ Gene Roddenbury

Each stage of life creates different challenges to good mental health. Eating right, staying physically active, getting enough sleep, and having health relationship will help support good mental health & wellness throughout life.
An accurate diagnosis and an age-appropriate treatment program is crucial when one is suffering from mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, or other mental health disorder. I offer services for:
Mental health crises range from the worries we all experience as part of everyday life to traumatic mental health crisis or serious long-term conditions. A mental health crisis is a difficult life situation where a person’s coping strategies do not work. People in crisis feel helpless and distressed, they feel like they are loosing control over their life.
I am trained to help people experiencing a crisis and can teach skills and strategies to more effectively manage crisis situations. Some of my client concerns and mental health crisis & disorder specialties include:
Psychotherapy, also referred to as talk therapy, psycho-social therapy, counseling, or, simply, therapy, is the primary method for treating mental health problems by talking with a mental health provider. The goal is to help an individual better understand their mental health and teach strategies and tools that manage unhealthy thoughts and behaviors.
While there are many approaches to psychotherapy, there is no single approach that works for everyone. A therapist may use a blended approach, sampling techniques from several diverse types of psychotherapy. The kind of psychotherapy a person receives depends on their unique needs. Below are some of the types of psychotherapy I utilize.
